A Few Good Links

June 17, 2005

I’m extremely lazy today but I still feel the need to post something, so I thought I would provide some links to some excellent posts.

1. Andrew Spicer has an innovative post up entitled An Adaptive, Performance-Driven, Health Insurance System. It’s an interesting presentation that proposes to reverse the current supply-driven system into a demand-driven system, allowing “the health care market to provide services at adequate levels.”

2. Expect good things from POGG, Eh, as Timmy the G (Voice in The Wilderness), Jonathan Dursi (No More Shall I Roam), and mahigan (True North) join to make it a group blog with a lot of fire power.

3. Grandinite has a link to a picture of everything.

4. If you are like me (a human), you probably don’t like the vitriolic Rachel Marsden. This Coulter-bot has recently taken up shop at the National Post and has stayed true with one mindless, sensationalist, apathetic, stereo-typing, disrespectful piece after another. Thankfully, Canadian Cynic has taken up the enormous task of critiquing Ms. Marsden. So check it out and personally thank him.

5. Gauntlet is always a good read. His latest post is a critical look at O’brien’s stance and the system that allows such power.

6. Jay Currie has a secret plan to save the Canadian blogsphere, but he is not telling what that is yet. I’ll admit it, I’m interested.

  15. Guide To Car Insurance
Here is a useful guide to car insurance. Buying car or motor insurance is important as it is legally enforced in the UK . You are required by law to have a policy to cover your liability to other road users.
Car Insurance protects motorists and drivers against liability in the event of accidents they may cause. It can also provide cover for the motorist’s own vehicle. If you are the cause of an accident the car insurance company will pay your liability to other people involved in the accident.

  16. One of the nation’s largest car insurance companies says it wants to ride shotgun — at least virtually — with 5,000 willing participants. Ohio-based Progressive Insurance plans to analyze drivers’ habits by installing a device in volunteers cars for collecting that data. Progressive officials say more data means lower rates for safe drivers. But privacy advocates worry the data could make its way into the wrong hands.

  17. Military personnel are so busy to do their duty towards the nation that most often they don’t have sufficient time for taking care of their financial matters. They in fact some times neglect their financial duties while serving the nation. Their families like other families also need facilities such as a nice house, vehicles, etc. The word vehicle reminded me of cars. Nowadays various companies are proving loans to the military personnel for buying cars.

As they have limited income source and are dependent on salary, they need to meet urgency from a loan. Military loans are therefore especially carved out for military people so that they can easily have money in time. But now Military car loans have become a bit easier and affordable for almost every military personnel as various companies are coming forward to provide facility of cars to the military personnel at quite affordable amounts.
